Sarah Hemphill is a Jackson Hole native who discovered her love of movement from a very early age when she started her dance training at her local studio Dancers’ Workshop. She holds a B.F.A in Modern Dance from the University of Utah and has been teaching dance and movement classes throughout the valley for over 15 years. She is currently on the teaching staff at Dancers' Workshop, CORE Pilates of Jackson Hole and Inversion Yoga and is also a member of Contemporary Dance Wyoming. Throughout her dance career she has had the great honor of working with many distinguished artists/choreographers including David Dorfman, Kaye Richards, Deborah Hay, Sara Rudner, Tandy Beal, Trisha Brown, Doug Varone, Babs Case, Fran Romo among others.
While in attendance at the University of Utah, Sarah fell in love with Pilates and eventually received her full, comprehensive certification through Balanced Body University. She strongly believes that because of her lifelong background in dance and movement, her classes may have a different approach as she is constantly pulling from the many years of studying the body in motion.
